Yes and no. I'm a writer by nature, when I've needed to work through something difficult, I'd write a poem. It's always been a therapeutic outlet for me. I have a decent singing voice, but I'm not a musician in the instrumental sense, I've tried, and it's simply not a skill I was blessed with. So being able to turn my poems into songs was something I never imagined would be possible in this lifetime.

For me personally, AI opened doors I genuinely never thought would be available to me. It's let me turn a talent I already had into something easier to share than just my poems sitting in a drawer. AI has given people a way to bring their art out of private notebooks and into the world.

I understand why some people feel uneasy about it, but I think they're missing the bigger picture. This kind of tool is already used widely across the industry, plenty of well-known artists don't write, sing, produce, or play an instrument themselves (think of someone like JLo). Those artists might feel the pinch of new competition, but beyond that, AI isn't taking anything away from the industry, it's giving people with different skill sets a way to share their art when they otherwise couldn't have.

I don't think so, no more than mobile phones will. It's about moving with the times and appreciating what a tool offers, rather than holding onto the past and only pointing out how it affects you.

That's not the goal. If it ever became the result, I'd be genuinely flattered, but it was never my intention. I simply enjoy writing music and wanted to share it with whoever wanted to listen. I never expected to have fans, let alone become famous.

"Kikki" started as a childhood nickname my brother gave me. Later I learned a meaning for it I didn't love, and got tired of the jokes. So I reclaimed it: Catherine became "Cat," and now instead of being teased, I proudly wear it as my own.
